About Us
Fur-get Me Not Canine Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue. Our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate canines that may be in danger of being euthanized or unable to be adopted due to their temperament. We focus on canines that are timid/fearful and/or have behavior problems that just need extra time and help to overcome their faults to get adopted.

We are a 501(c)(3) organization, you can deduct the value of your contribution on your taxes. Many of our dogs are in need of veterinarian care, medical assistance and spaying/neutering.
Donations don’t have to be monetary. We are in constant need of food, bedding, toys and other supplies.
FOSTER!!! If you foster it helps with room so we can save another life from being euthanized. Fostering is the most effective way to reduce overcrowding in shelters. Some of furry friends have behavioral or socialization issues, a foster environment can give them a chance and help they need for a fur-ever home.

Our rescue was hit hard this week with Parvo. I ran into three different sets of Pups, break out with Parvo. A total of 14 puppies and 2 moms. We are fighting hard for all of them. One of them did not make it. We still have one at the vet. Everyone else is getting treatment at home. This being said if anyone has any old towels and would like to donate instead of throwaway it would be greatly appreciated. Also, any pee pads and puppy food are always in need. please contact me at 505-382-9205.

Little update on our blue healer that come to us very timid and fearful.
I have a very special boy available for adoption his name is Red! At 4 months he’s been through so much and deserves the best home! He is a beautiful, red healer. Red has over come so much his young life. Someone tied a rubber band around his tail and dropped him off at the shelter. He was too timid and fearful for the staff to handle so no one noticed. They actually thought he was a female. She was considered unavailable since she was too timid and fearful to be touched. One morning, the kennel staff noticed there was a tail in the kennel where it fell off. Red went right into surgery having to have it amputated shorter because it cuz around it was dead. At this time is when they realized it was a little boy. I was calling to see if I could take him in since my rescue handles the timid, fearful type of dogs. Of I had to take him to help him. Since being with me, he loves playing with other dogs. He loves to be touched and nudges you with his head when you stop he is still shy at first. He does get scared if you try picking him up and holds onto you so tight with his arms wrapped around yours. At night he likes to lay on the bed right next to me. He is now house trained, using a doggie door. He is now ready for a forever home. That will only show him love and patience. He loves being around other dogs. He is neutered, micro chipped, has his rabies shot and his puppy shots. If you’re interested in giving this guy the best life call me at 505-382-9205.
